Inconf is ISO 27001 certified

Inconf is now ISO 27001 certified – here’s why it matters

We are delighted to announce that Inconf is now certified with ISO 27001, the leading international standard for information security. Eight months of hard work culminated in us passing the final audit with zero non-conformances, demonstrating our commitment to managing information safely and securely.

Robust processes

What does this mean in practice? It means our clients can be confident we have robust processes in place to manage risk and protect their valuable confidential information.

Our information security policies cover all parts of the business, from the technology used in our galleries through to how user data is stored and accessed on our event platforms. But more important than individual policies is our security-conscious organisational culture. And with only around 3,000 ISO 27001 certified companies in the UK (https://www.iso.org/the-iso-survey.html), Inconf is one of the elite few.

Mitigating risk

OK, information security is not always the most exciting subject. But we believe it should be a major consideration when considering an events services supplier – or indeed any supplier.

The UK’s ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) reports thousands of data security incidents every quarter, ranging from the simple ‘data emailed to incorrect recipient’ through to ‘theft of device containing personal data’, ‘malware’ and even more alarming breaches (https://ico.org.uk/action-weve-taken/data-security-incident-trends/). Choosing to work with an ISO 27001 certified organisation is the best way to mitigate the risk of any of these incidents occurring.
